Job Description (JD)

The Sales Executive – OT & ICU Products is responsible for promoting, selling, and supporting medical devices and consumables used in Operation Theatres and Intensive Care Units. The role involves building strong relationships with hospitals, doctors, surgeons, anesthetists, and procurement teams to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Promote and sell OT & ICU products such as:

·         ICU equipment (ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, syringe pumps)

·         OT consumables and devices

·         Anesthesia, critical care, and surgical products

·         Visit hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics regularly within the assigned territory

·         Build and maintain relationships with:

·         Surgeons

·         Anesthetists

·         Intensivists

·         Purchase & biomedical departments

·         Conduct product demonstrations and support trials in OT and ICU

·         Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

·         Identify new business opportunities and key accounts

·         Participate in tenders, negotiations, and price discussions

·         Provide after-sales coordination and ensure customer satisfaction

·         Collect market intelligence, competitor information, and customer feedback

·         Prepare daily call reports, sales reports, and forecasts

Candidate Requirements / Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in:

·         B.N.Sc

·         Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm)

·         Biomedical Engineering

·         Life Sciences

·         Business/Marketing (with medical sales experience)

Experience:

·         1–2 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales

·         Experience in OT, ICU, critical care, anesthesia, or surgical products is highly preferred or

·         Freshers with strong interest and relevant training may be considered .

Skills & Competencies:

·         Good knowledge of OT & ICU environments and workflows

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to explain technical medical products clearly

Negotiation and closing skills

·         Relationship-building and customer-handling skills

·         Willingness to travel extensively within the territory

·         Basic computer skills (MS Excel, email, CRM)
